I don’t have much time for leisurely breakfasts these days (who does)? But this healthy smoothie recipe is something I’ve tweaked over time and is a morning staple throughout the week when the school run is looming. Not only does it taste delicious it keeps me full up until lunch.
Nut milk (but any milk of your choice would work here).
1 organic banana
Handful of frozen blueberries
2 tbs of full fat Greek yogurt (coconut yogurt would be beautiful here if you’re feeling flush.)
A teaspoon of Maca powder
2 teaspoons of cacao powder
1 Tablespoon of nut butter
Whizz it up in your blender and enjoy! Some in season Summer strawberries would work well in here also, or a spoonful of vanilla protein powder for an extra protein hit. When I start the day of with this my energy levels are boosted (even after lack of sleep!)
